Lisa is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Chinese medicine practitioner (acupuncture) and a registered nurse. She is a member of the Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association.

Lisa has worked in health for three decades and has vast clinical experience in mental health, substance addiction, sexual and reproductive health, pregnancy, birth and postnatal care.

During her years of mothering young children, she was an active member of Homebirth Queensland Incorporated with committee roles including Gold Coast convenor and membership secretary.

Lisa’s journey to being an acupuncturist started with choosing to birth her three children at home with a traditional midwife. “Having worked as a registered nurse in various hospitals highlighted for me that the absence of personal relationships with medical staff often resulted in disappointing health outcomes. My homebirth experiences gave me the confidence to embrace natural medicine when caring for my family’s and my own health concerns in the following years. The knowledge and wisdom I gained in holistic health practices made it a natural choice to study Chinese medicine which is an entire health system. This was confirmed during my study, where both my personal and professional experience, my diagnostic and manual skills, and Chinese philosophy and principles all came together for me to form my clinical practice. The end result is my ability and dedication to assist people, give them insights about their health and progress the quality of their lives towards wellness, which is extremely satisfying.”

Acupuncture and Chinese medicine can assist with relieving symptoms of a vast range of issues, including but not limited to mental health, neurological, digestive, respiratory, gynaecological, reproductive, urogenital, hormonal, dermatologic, musculoskeletal conditions and general wellbeing.
